Golf and Massage

Many of you enjoy the pleasure of a good game of golf. I grew up watching the sport on television with my father who loved to get out there every week with his friends and chase that little white ball around in all kinds of weather. Riding in the golf cart with him was fun and even as a child I enjoyed all the beautiful green grass, the trees and the blue sky. When I was older I was coaxed into taking a weekend lesson with the great Peggy Kirk Bell's daughter at Pine Needles. After a day of constant club swinging we all enjoyed a delicious dinner and a much deserved night's sleep.

But in the morning my whole body ached! I had no idea just how many muscles it took to drop your shoulder, stand with your feet hip width apart, bend your knees, etc., and swing that club. Wham!

As you may know the repetitive motion of your golf swing puts your back, neck and shoulder muscles in compromising positions that can  lead to nagging low back pain, not to mention what feels like "tennis elbow" with your neck and shoulders joining ranks to form one big knot under your shoulder blades. Ouch.

You need a massage!

That's right. A massage can help ease the pain in your tight muscles and your therapist, by gently stretching them, can aid in the release of toxins. Slow, smooth, rythmic strokes can relax your body, helping your muscles let go of the tension. Also your therapist can concentrate on the "knots" in your back by using more pressure. It's all good!

You will be amazed at the fluidity that a relaxing massage can bring to your game so if you have never tried it I highly recommend getting a massage.

As you can tell below I am a certified Holistic Massage Therapist and I look forward to helping you stay in the game! You may want to check out the massage menu on my website:

Massage Time

Have you ever considered the fact that time seems to fly by?

Time flies by when you are on a deadline and it feels like there's not enough time for you to finish the project which is due tomorrow?!

Yikes!

Time flies when your in-laws are coming and all of a sudden the house and yard look like they are in need of renovation and restoration?

Oh no!

And every night you look at your list of "things to do" that day and you see that not even half of the list is crossed off? So you put those unfinished tasks on the next day's list and add more to it and think ... where will I get the time to do all this?

I hear you.

Life is short and time seems to speed up and fly by faster the older you become. It's the truth! It seems like the only time it slows down is when you are sick with the flu in bed wishing that the nights weren't so endless, right?

But there's another time. A really wonderfully, healing and soothing time when the clock slows down and you get a chance to breathe.

Ahhhhh.

What am I talking about? I am talking about the hour you have booked for a massage. That's right. It's the one hour of your week that you can totally relax and let the world turn on its' axis all by itself. The sun will continue to rise in the East and set in the West and the Universe will continue to evolve while you enjoy time standing still for a moment.

Are you ready for that moment?

It's time you took care of YOU!
